Ive been playing this game for 2 straight days, an i didnt know about the energy bar. i just realized what to do with it, but i dont really understand the purpose of it. can someone maybe fill me in as to when an why i should use the energy bar. it just seems kind of cheap to me maybe im missing the point of it. thanks in advance. If I"m understanding correctly, piggy backing as explained here is the innovative twist that is added to spicy! farkle. what I am not sure of is how the player who chooses to piggy back play after that - would he still have to take his actual turn - i.e. play with all 6 dice. 3 1"s are worth 300. It seems you didn"t cover the scoreing 4 of one kind, or 5 of one kind or 6 of one kind. Just don"t play the free version against the will never win. You can count the fourth 6 at the second throw and get 1200 points instead of 600.
Great video glenn. My band plays farkle all the time on the road. We play it a little different, but hey, ONE LOVE. Awesome thx. We were taught how to play this years ago, but the person who taught us called it Zilch. I love this game! Can"t seem to get anyone who likes to play it though.

If you have four die, and your roll three 2s and a 1. does that total to 300 points? Three 2s=200. 1=100) 300. You write wrong. A 3 of a kind of 1 is 1000 - In real game they no play the minimum score. I used to play this exact same game in the early 90"s, but we called it L.A. 5,000. I never realized until now that it was actually called Farkle. Great, great game. New game? Really? No! No one knows when Farkle was first played. The general consensus is that it was first played at least 300-500 years ago. As for scoring there are many different variations. This is but one of them. This is not keeping score by the original rules. This looks complicated. Couldn"t hear most of the video. Why do you leave a one down but then end up holding a five. Tweakers. We play Greedy and use 7 dice. A single 1 is worth 100 points. A single 5 is worth 50 points. Triple 1 is 1,000. Triple 2 through 6 is that number x 100 points. A straight of 6 dice is 1,000 points. 500 points to get on the board. No minimum per turn. First to 10,000 points wins.
I invented a dice game of four dice (also three dice) where I have a hockey playoff league. Its based on the probabilities of dice totals. So once I figured out the probabilities and total combiunations where order doesn"t matter I could give teams I seeded as the best teams an advantage. I threw in little clauses like if you roll four of a kind the losing team gets a three roll powerplay. The thing that amazes me is a team every now and then that has little chance to win. wins against a much better team.
